Strange rocks and bizarre stones regally rise up between the gentle ridge lines of Abukuma, along with fresh tender green of spring, wild azalea blooming at the end of May and the red coloring of leaves from mid-October to early November which offers a spectacular sight. Especially during the foliage season, the sight of the bare rock sprinkled with red and yellow colors on the surface reminds us of Nishiki-e (brocade picture).
In the mountain, people can enjoy the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and light trekking, along with the well maintained hiking trails.
This park is also a government-designated historical site and place of scenery, a prefectural-designated natural park.
